John Pratt | Partner
John Pratt has been practicing family law in the Springfield, Missouri area for over 30 years. He has spoken and taught extensively to Bar Association groups on divorce, custody, paternity and other areas of family law.
In 2010, the Missouri Bar Association honored John with the Roger P. Krumm Award for Family Law, recognizing him as the Missouri Family Law Attorney of the Year. In 2009, he served as President of the Missouri Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) and is currently Chair of the Admissions Committee for the state chapter. John is also a member of the Missouri Bar Association and the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, and serves on the Family Law Committee of both groups. He is a member of the Child Support Guidelines Review Subcommittee of the Missouri Bar tasked with the responsibility of suggesting changes to the current Missouri Child Support Guidelines. He has been selected as a Missouri Super Lawyer for the past several years.
John has been active in the Ozark Trails Council of the Boy Scouts of America, serving as Council President from 2008-2010. He has been a member of the Executive Committee for over 10 years. In his career, John was elected as a member of the Springfield City Council and as Mayor Pro Tem where he served for 4 years.
